The second act feels like filler. The most it attempts to be entertaining in the first two thirds is a few cgi moments and relying on Tiffany Haddish doing Tiffany Haddish schtick. The jokes land badly, the scares are weak, and the whole movie feels stuck in a cheesy, overacted loop that never gets better. The biggest problem is how forced everything feels. Nothing flows naturally, so even scenes that should be entertaining end up feeling cringe-worthy and exhausting. The story is thin, the characters are forgettable, and the movie never builds the kind of atmosphere a haunted house film needs.
