See more Victor O @RT45890256 Aug 11 A moment of inspiration has led me to look into Sarah Carter’s filmography, and this movie caught my attention. But it wasn’t just Sarah Carter, but it was over a dozen grade-A actors and actresses with a stylized view that was both beautiful but also deeply intense and I couldn’t help but wonder what kind of story this was going to be with its title. Still, a great cast is a great cast. Cayman Islands. Two major stories happen that intersect on the island paradise known for being a Tax Haven of the British Empire and the civilized world. An American businessman has just been busted by federal authorities as he runs off with his daughter and all the money he can gather to ensure they live a comfortable life in the Cayman Islands. However, the daughter ends up being caught up by a charming criminal as she gets caught up worrying her dad. While many years ago a young shy boy who saw his father die ends up living a poor yet comfortable life when he suddenly falls in love with the daughter of a wealthy, upright man with a son that is eager to protect the honor of the family, going as far as mutilating him to the point of eternal shame. Both businessman and shy boy intertwine in a night of violence and betrayal that leaves some people better others worse off. Not bad at all. I have to say now that Bill Paxton is dead, every movie he has made now feels like a treasure that you appreciate more than ever. But the living are phenomenal as well, as grade-A performers from Orlando Bloom, Zoe Saldana, Bobby Cannavale, Stephen Dillane, Anthony Mackie, and others complement this film wonderfully. Sadly, the moral of the story is that you do whatever to do what is right but some of it is committed by such terrible deeds that you wonder who truly is good and bad. But it’s an interesting story.
