Vaughn R @RT16801789 Sep 28 Last night we watched this one; He Never Died Brief synopsis; Jack is on thee wagon. Trying to repress his urges. He has developed a routine that he follows to quash his urge to engage in vampiric cannibalism. He spends most ov his time sleeping and avoids human contact other than regular trips to a local diner and bingo games. He purchases donated blood from Jeremy, a hospital intern, who, unbeknownst to him, is in debt to some powerful criminals. At his apartment one day, Jack is confronted by 2 mobsters who are looking for Jeremy. He deals with it in his regular uninterested but effective manner. His routine is further interrupted when he's asked to find his estranged daughter, Andrea, who had tried to contact him earlier that day. He finds Andrea and takes her with him to thee diner he frequents and allows her to stay with him for a few days. When Jeremy is taken by thee mobsters, he is forced to fall off thee wagon. He has relapsed. When his daughter is kidnapped to try to get his attention, that's just what they get. These mobsters have chosen thee wrong guy to mess with. Chaos and violence is coming their way. Jack has always been here. There is a reason why He has Never Died. We really enjoyed this one. Rollins provides a great performance. Thee film is very quirky and has a lot ov funny moments. It's a slow burn but draws you in from thee start. An interesting idea and and interesting character, with great supporting case. Rollins shines. You really feel that he's not acting, he's just playing himself. I've seen him in other roles and in real life, so I know that's not true. That's what a good actor he is. Watch this movie! If you don't like it after 30 minutes or so, stop.
