Franco Nero (DJANGO) stars as Walter Mancini, a washed-up alcoholic writer traveling with his wife, Eve (former Bond girl Clery), whom he frequently abuses and humiliates. However, when the couple picks up a stranded motorist named Adam, their trip takes an unexpected detour. Adam, a deranged and murderous fugitive, forces them to drive him to Mexico, passing the time by tying up Walter and torturing him for fun and raping Eve. Pursued by Adam's former partners, from whom he has stolen two million dollars, the dysfunctional trio ride through the desert as each plots their escape from one another. Shot with gusto, HITCH-HIKE soons spirals into a wild ride with unexpected twists and turns. Barely released in the USA, the film is a true gem in the world of exploitive cinema. [More]
