Alex Weaver is a struggling actress who works as a waitress and lacks self confidence. To earn extra money Alex accepts an offer to house sit a mansion for a wealthy family over a weekend. What Alex does not know is that a serial killer recently struck the house next door to the mansion and people are out to kill the
family she is house-sitting for. What seemed like an easy job is about to get complicated. ?You don?t like the way I rearranged things?? Ken Wiederhorn, director of Meatballs Part 2, Return of the Living Dead part 2, and Shock Waves delivers A House in the Hills. The storyline for this picture was pathetic and boring. The acting was depressingly poor. The cast included Michael Madsen, Helen Slater, and Jeffrey Tambor. ?I should have realized she?s your kind of woman.? The audition, the ?lips of the vagina? reference, Alex lying to Mickey about who she is, Mickey delivering the love lines from the script, the phony robbery set-up story, the encounter with Willie in the garage, and the shooting of Willie through the floor were amongst the better portions of the film. ?I am not the woman you think I am. Give me a chance; I can prove it to you.? A House in the Hills was on late night television on Friday the 13th. The plot included two potential serial killers, played by Michael Madsen and Jeffrey Tambor, who were out to get Helen Slater. The storyline was nothing special, but sounded worth watching since it was playing on Friday the 13th. I was dreadfully wrong. This film is a monstrosity and I would not recommend this picture to my worst enemy. ?Does anybody really know who they are?? Grade: F
