Actress Jessie Matthews and director Victor Saville re team after the success of their musicals EVERGREEN and FIRST A GIRL in this musical farce about a young chorus girl, Elaine (Matthews), who is looking for her big break. She spots an opportunity she can exploit for fame when a young publicity man, Peter Carlton (Young), creates a buzz about a beautiful but imaginary socialite, Ms. Smythe-Smythe, who has to fight off her suitors by the dozens. Elaine shrewdly impersonates the woman, and soon she and Peter are collaborating on the creation of Ms. Smythe-Smythe to enhance their careers. A gloriously effervescent musical comedy and romance, IT'S LOVE AGAIN is a hugely entertaining affair. [More]
