Could be a lot worse, Stallone makes his suggestions in the film. It contains a Rob Schneider impersonation of Stallone and Armand Assente does a good version of passing as Judge Dredd's brother or the actor Sylvester Stallone's. It's a wonderful piece of trashy 90's copaganda, but does have some interesting visuals, simple and dynamic story, and all the usual tropes: lone hero, villain with god complex, cops good - revolution bad, star gets the girl, and the comic relief character - all you need for mindless fun. When you think about it, Rico's final speech almost made sense, but they didn't want you think about it, everything is depicted black or white, no space for interpretation. I also really like how they depicted the obsolete robot, and in general, atmosphere in the movie is good. When we were kids we were exited to see this in the theaters and now I realize pretty much every Hollywood movie aimed at teenage boys was propaganda.
