Yet another example of a correct judging a book by its cover, Killer Movie seems to be simply suicidal. Not a film in the parody genre, this is another slasher film that Hollywood slapped together in the hopes of capturing the attention of an audience with nothing better to do. I give the film credit for inventive murders and some interesting dialogue, but it was very unfortunate casting, writing, and plot that caught this film unawares. The characters were boring, and therefore I did not mind when their murdered corpses were put on display for all to see. Gratuitous sex is scattered around, but most is either nonsensical or plopped in front of us as if it fell from the sky, only there to titillate the fourteen year old boy demographic. The premise could be construed as original, but the follow through is found wanting, intercutting a reality show format between the decapitations that makes the characters unlikable. I give props to Kaley Cuoco, stepping outside of her comfort zone that includes roles of bubble headed blondes and into one...where she's a bubble headed blonde who is rather mean. Wow, what a turnaround. If you're looking for a horrific horror film, this is for you.

Killer Movie is as by-the-numbers as a slasher can be, but I still got a decent amount of enjoyment from watching it. Yes it's painfully obvious who the killer is, but I just couldn't bring myself to hate all the cliches and unimpressive kill scenes. Plus, I thought that the faux documentary format was kinda cool. Basically, I've seen much worse movies.

A terrible film that tries to satire the film industry but ultimately failed. All the actors are unbelievable good looking, plot was cliched, and script was terrible. It's a huge disappointment to see Kaley Cuoco starring in some junk like this. This is just another one of your average product from Hollywood.

Killer Movie follows the story of a reality television crew that is trying to film a nice story about a winning hockey team that is of course untill people start getting killed and the shows producer decides she wants the crew to follow that story instead but now the whole crew is stranded with a killer on the loose and the crew itself starts getting killed off one by one and almost everyone is a suspect. This movie wasnt bad but it wasnt that good either it was pretty much predictable threw out when it could have been so much better a ok watch if you wanna just waste sometime but not a must see movie by any means

Stinker movie more like it...'90210'ish characters, dumbed down and seemingly geared toward an audience of teens. This film satirizes as well as provides commentary about reality television in the guise of a slasher film. The story stretches believability as the killer struts around in obvious halloween killer garb without being noticed, no police ever get involved, with too many loopholes to count. The chatacters are mostly unlikeable, so the audinece really is rather indifferent when he/she meets their demise. The light tone of the movie lessens any desire of the viewer to take the story seriously or treat this movie other than for what is is..a low budget lightweight.

Killer Movie is a movie about a small bunch of rich kids in a small town in North Dakota who are getting hunted down by a serial murderer. This would have been a decent movie had not everything had been done so amateurishly. There is no attachment to any of the characters whatsoever so I don't understand why any viewers would care about these obnoxious teens getting slaughtered. Also, there practically isn't any back story or decent reasoning behind the mayhem. The way the movie is set up is the story moves along while some of the characters are interviewed. The thought behind this could have worked, but nothing was convincing and it sounded like everyone was reading from a script. Everything like I said earlier looked amateurish and nothing seemed to come together well. However, some people seemed to like this movie, so give it a shot if you think it might interest you. I was disappointed, but I hope someone else can receive some enjoyment from this movie. Happy watching.

If you're watching this for Leighton Meester you need only the first 5 minutes. Otherwise, the story starts out convoluted and messy. The reveal of the killer is underwhelming, at best. And along the way the kills are not only pointless, but tame. Busto.

Disgrace to slasher films

O filme não se decide em qual gênero seguir: com (C)dia, terrir ou terror. Fraco, chato, previsível.

Some stylistic editing, helps distinguish Killer Movie (2008) from most other slasher flicks. Director/writer Jeff Fisher?s film is pretty slick looking affair, that features a number of inserted interview type clips to give the film a reality TV look, and also helps advance the story. The presence of sitcom veteran Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory, 8 Simple Rules), adds some spice, and gives the film some balls, as her character, a foul mouthed diva type, is a switch from the ?good girl? roles she is more well known for.

A television crew arrives in White Plains, North Dakota, to shoot a piece about The Goldiggers, the local high school hockey team. It seems pretty routine, but what producer Lee Tyson (Cyia Batten) instructs director Jake Tanner (Paul Wesley) to try to do, is also dig up some dirt about the death of a local teenage girl, who was mysteriously beheaded while riding on a scooter. Awaiting the arrival of starlet Blanca Champion (Cuoco), the crew starts shooting interviews at the school. A masked killer also begins to get very busy, arranging an accident for the cheerleading coach, offing the hockey coach, and then taking a pick to a production assistant. A few murders don?t seem to stir things up very much, and even as the bodies continue to pile up, the townsfolk and even law enforcement, remain completely unconcerned. The killer is an enormous Blanca Champion fan, and is bent on proving it to her. Although increasingly shorthanded, the crew pushes on, until there is a final confrontation at the school.

There are some nice gory bits, including a near decapitated head flopping, a body strung up on the wall of the gym, and a hanging via chain scene. Almost everyone in the crew falls victim to the very active killer. Much that happens, does not make a lot of sense, as the killer seems to be everywhere, pushing up the body count.

Kaley Cuoco seems to be having a blast playing a vamp, and swearing up a storm. She is the best thing about this movie, and makes a seamless transition from being frightened, to a clear thinking and rational. Paul Wesley (The Vampire Diaries) tries to take his role seriously, but it isn?t easy, as his character Jake is pretty passive most of the film, until the end, when he makes an impossible recovery from a serious injury, that should have left him incapable of walking. Adriana DeMeo (Without a Trace), is funny and quirky, as a member of the crew, and Maitland McConnell (Ninja Cheerleaders) is amusing as an overemotional cheerleader. The acting is a mixed bag, and no one will be willing any awards, but at least the cast features some attractive actors, and snappy aggressive dialog.

Attempting to live up to its name, Killer Movie does feature a lot of kills, and the level of violence ramps up with each successive kill, peaking in the final twenty minutes. Not all the kills are graphic or that impressive though. Suspense and tension could be built up if there were more pursuit, or interaction between the killer and his victims, instead of quick strike kills. The killer may be a surprise, although the reason for the murderous spree is rather tenuous.

Killer Movie does not offer much that is really original, but if you have a fondness for slashers, and like a lot of victims, you may want to take a look. The film is definitely recommended to Kaley Cuoco fans, as she is having fun with her role. She does not appear until after the 31 minute mark, but that is when things really get started.

This movie could use some tweaking. It seemed like those teen horror films, and it seemed like it tried to be scary, but tried to hard.

Not awful, but not the best by any means. However I would rather sit through this than another Nightmare on Elm Street rerun.
