05/17/2013 The book was a tremendously good read, another example of Mark Bowden's natural ability to story tell. I am excited about the movie but for those of you who have not read the book but only know it as something based off of the author of Black Hawk Down, be warned. It's not a Black Hawk Down type action movie. Based off of the book I highly recommend seeing the movie when it comes out, of course many book adaptations have become crappy so hopefully this doesn't blow up in my face. See more 09/27/2010 A thorough History Channel documentary. Packed with valuable intervews and footage, the precision of the facts were remarkably good when you think of how deep this conflict actually was. In the lat 80's journalists were well adapted cameras so Carnahan had a fortunate advantage for the the vast amount of footage. Good soundtrack as well.
