Successful forensic psychologist Alex Cross (Morgan Freeman) discovers that his niece has gone missing. Once he consults with police Detective Nick Ruskin (Cary Elwes), Cross believes that the disappearance is the work of an insane killer known as "Casanova." Meanwhile, Dr. Kate McTiernan (Ashley Judd) is kidnapped by this criminal and witnesses many other imprisoned women in his lair. After narrowly escaping, McTiernan teams up with Cross to try to apprehend the deranged Casanova.

Pretty good I thought. A few plot holes that if you don't take too seriously keeps it entertaining. A suspense ride type movie. The only big drawback for me was a poor choice for the perps mask in the early going. Only covered half his face. I recognized who it was from the lower half of his face the first scene they showed him. Kind of spoiled it a bit.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

You know what I like in a movie? When an actor is top billed as one of the stars, but is hardly in the film at all. But wait, the bad guy that they are hunting, is always cloaked in a mask or hidden from the camera. Gee, I wonder if... I'll just ask Cary Elwes.

Despite having a stellar cast the movie is unable to showcase their potential. The soundtrack and cinematography tries and fail at convincing the audience with a lukewarm plot with incomprehensible police work.

Synopsis
