Synopsis: Crazy as ever, Stan (Laurel) and Ollie (Hardy) break out of prison and change their clothes in the getaway car. Consumed by their panic, they put on each other's pants, but the pursuing police force them to keep constantly moving even as they search for a discreet place where they can switch pants. Miscalculations send the boys up on bare girders high above the streets in a half-built building, but at least here there's a chance to exchange their pants. The boys' high-wire antics are a hilarious tribute to the comic death-defying stunts of Harold Lloyd. Watch out for that crab! Leo McCarey (DUCK SOUP), who directed Lloyd in THE MILKY WAY, guides Laurel and Hardy through this terrifically fine mess produced by the great Hal Roach. [More]
