Reviews for The Mambo Kings
No matter what you think about The Mambo Kings (1992) as a whole, if your toes aren't tapping by the time the final credits roll, you might very well be dead.
Though rather flatly shot in general, the musical numbers achieve a certain dynamism...
One cannot fault the music or the vitality nor could one ask for better performers...if only the story that goes with it hadn't been so simplistic and sentimental.
