A novel by Francis Brett Young and its theatrical adaptation by John Perry were the sources for the even-keeled melodrama A Man About the House. Handsome Italian laborer Kieron Moore works as caretaker of the Neopolitan villa inherited by plain-Jane Englishwomen Margaret Johnston and Dulcie Gray.
