While on the way to the boat taking him back to England, his cab collides with that of Patricia O'Malley (Rita Hayworth), who is about to marry an eccentric millionaire whom she does not really love. Immediately attracted to Robert, Patricia hides him at her uncle's house. Meanwhile, her fiance, Charles Gardner, dispatches his butler to find her.
