Craig bails his friend out of trouble, survives a climactic confrontation with Debo, the neighborhood bully, and ends up with the girl. In Next Friday the bully is back as Debo, who spent two years behind bars, is released from prison. Fearing for his son's safety, Craig's father sends his son to live with Uncle Elroy. Sadly, Epps's effort to replace Tucker as Cube's sidekick only downgrades the sequel. Otherwise, Next Friday has more of everything -- More importantly, however, Next Friday packs in more gags than the original.

While this sequel isn’t for everyone along with some fans of the first, I enjoyed it. However I agree, this is when the comedic tone and stuff gets lost and it’s not on the same as the original 1995 movie. Chris Tucker didn’t return because of money, the real reason is because his parents were very religious. This sequel however definitely pushes the NC-17 rating level as Craig’s Uncle named "Elroy" has sex toys in his house.
