Even the tolerant Psychotronic Encyclopedia of Film deems this 'totally tasteless and amateurish,' but gore buffs should be alerted to real open-heart surgery footage.
With its dizzying combination of hard-core gore (eye, ear, nose, and throat gougings in bloody close-up), gratuitous nudity, rampaging monster, actual footage of open-heart surgery, and masked Mexican wrestlers, this is a tough one to ignore.
