A hard-boiled and riveting police thriller. It`s Dark Blue meets L.A Confidential. It packs more impact than from the barrel of a shotgun. A stylish, intense, multi-layered and character driven film that`s down, deep and fantastic. It`s heart-pounding and wickedly entertaining from start to finish. A solid story that`s packed with action, nail-biting suspense and also scores with a tremendous cast of stars who all deliver great performances, especially Stephen Dorff. Dorff is absolutely sensational, he gives his best performance in years, he shows a great amount of emotion, toughness and raw power. David Boreanaz is terrific. James Woods is excellent. Dominic Purcell is thrilling. Walton Goggins is wonderful. A tough, pistol-packing and engaging, edge of your seat action-packed thriller.

A good movie with an interesting story that unravels as the movie progresses.

Its confusing airless script wasn't nearly as bad as the directors inept usage of countless flashbacks...Officer Down is a terrifying waste of time that appeals to the lowest possible tastes and quite possibly the lowest level of humankind.

One year ago, dirty cop Detective Callahan (Dorff) was shot in a drug bust gone wrong and saved by a stranger, giving Callahan a second chance to clean up his life. But when the stranger finally comes forward, seeking revenge against the men responsible for a string of assaults on young women at a local strip club, Callahan must go rogue to find the attacker in an effort to hide how his own past played a part in these crimes. His desperation to find the attacker and cover his tracks takes him down a violent road of deception and fraud. Can he play the "good cop" and track down the assailant, while still keeping his reputation clean?
Officer Down was the movie that i never intented to watch, the story is strong enough to build layers but fails as it head for the hit, It was simply incoherent and nevertheless it should brings up some action-packed scenes and was obviously a cheap cat fight.
Officer Down from the title itself is stupid and yes this was thorougly absurd and acting was okay was hard to watch, It's a movie where you had wish you just have cut yourself and maybe die for intense and thrilling boredom.
