Although he looks forward to spending time with his divorced parents during Christmas vacation, he's saddened to find out that he'll be seeing only his father. Mr. Henderson now lives with a new female companion in Hong Kong; his ex-wife has been confined to a hospital, suffering from schizophrenia. When Simon's mother suddenly shows up at school during the next semester, she takes him to a local hotel for the night. There, mother and son spend a strange and confusing evening, which ends badly after the two get into a terrible argument. Will the boy be able to come to terms with his mother's illness? [More]
