Reviews for Orson Welles: The One-Man Band
It adds up to a tremendously exciting, but at the same time deeply frustrating, viewing experience.
If much of this previously unseen work seems simply frivolous, every bit of it is entertaining. Even when he wasn't being serious, Welles, like all really good magicians, had the ability to mesmerize.
Seeing this film is like finding out the Beatles actually recorded four or five albums that were never released -- and then getting to hear only a song from each album.
