Dutch, a soldier of fortune, is hired by the U.S. government to secretly rescue a group of politicians trapped in Guatemala. But when Dutch and his team, which includes weapons expert Blain and CIA agent George, land in Central America, something is wrong. 影片最初的构想源于一个笑话，自从史泰龙自导自演的《洛奇4》上映之后，好莱坞开始流传笑话，说洛奇已经在地球上找不到对手，他在下集中势必将向外星人发起挑战。这个笑话恰恰激发了编剧吉姆·托马斯、约翰·托马斯兄弟俩的创作灵感，该片剧本便是由此而来。由于开拍日期推迟了数月，所以西尔沃有充足的时间完善剧本。该片于1986年4月中旬开拍。为了完成达奇与外星人决斗的高潮戏，施瓦辛格必须浑身沾满泥浆长达三周之久，当时墨西哥丛林中的温度极低，剧组成员必须整天借助加热灯取暖。身着外星人服装进行表演的凯文·彼得·豪尔更是苦不堪言，当拍摄外星人追杀达奇时，豪尔必须在散发着恶臭和到处都是蚂蟥的污水中前行，而且他一旦戴上面具就无法看见外界的景象，所以他只能先不戴面具进行排练，然后再凭借记忆完成表演

This movie delivered strong action and suspense with a unique sci-fi twist. Arnold Schwarzenegger fit perfectly into the survival atmosphere and carried the movie with confidence. The jungle setting and hidden enemy created constant tension that made many scenes exciting to watch. Overall, it remains one of the most entertaining action movies from the 1980s.
