I have yet to figure what this movie was about or what was going on in the final scenes, but all I know is that I really enjoyed it. The characters are vividly portrayed caricatures, the events that occur are troubling enough and the atmosphere is just plain disturbing. In short, Que Dieu Bénisse l'Amérique is not what you'd call easy filmmaking or easy filmviewing, for that matter, but it really does leave an impression the second after it's over... and, well, most drama-thrillers don't even succeed in doing that, so, kudos, M. Morin, for your darkly ironic little film!
