Alot of the sex scenes probably didnt need to be there and it would still have a big impact on addiction and drugs use. But I don't know for the love around the movie I expected more. Acting was good, and the film is done in a very trippy way as to show the life of an addict. But I dont know, guess I just expected more. Decent film, and a real eye opener kind of film for anyone who is an addict. Also definitely this movie put the song on the map, but man did they really just stick to that 1 song and play it over and over. Super interesting shots and editing so that it really does feel like a musical composition with fast parts and slow parts and crescendos. Apr 24 requiem for a dream was directed by Darren Aronofsky in 2000 the main characters are Ellen Burstyn( Sara Goldfarb ), Jared Leto (Harry Goldfarb) Jennifer Connelly( Marion Silver ) and Marlon Wayans ( Tyrone) This film tells the story of 4 characters who want to achieve their dreams we follow their descent into the hell of drug addiction The plot twist is extremely dark , absorbing and well written but very hard to watch it shows with realism the horror of life’s characters the special effects are original we can watch close-ups and many sequences which creates a oppressive atmosphere The acting is extremely spectacular we can feel the pain of characters through the screen The script is very well written and realistic it makes us think a lot Generally I find this film absolutely fascinating it is simply a masterpiece it is one of the best films i have ever seen but also very choking i recommend it to people who like psychological films See more Jason Y. @yargbull Feb 26 Over-hyped and somewhat boring; the characters were not all that interesting, and I never felt it was as “intense and disturbing” as it has always been advertised, appearing on quite a few “most disturbing movies ever”-lists.
