Although somewhat soft in tackling some of the more controversial aspects, it is still a fascinating look at the sport outside of the bright stadium lights and manicured lawns of the big leagues.
While some might debate whether baseball remains the American pastime, it is indisputably the sport of choice in the Dominican Republic which produces more major league players than any country except for the United States.
