Nader F. @knownasnad 1d 91% I went into this wanting to hate Jake, I really did. But I just couldn’t. The more the film unfolds, the more you realize that this is simply who he is. Niki, on the other hand, isn’t perfect either. There were moments where I found myself frustrated with him, questioning some of his traits, yet at the same time, I couldn’t help but admire and respect him. The cast as a whole is exceptional, completely in sync with the intensity of the story. The direction is nothing short of brilliant, capturing both the adrenaline of the races and the quiet, emotional weight behind them. And then there’s the score, which elevates everything. I never expected to feel this emotionally invested in an F1 movie, but it completely caught me off guard. It’s breathtaking, intense, and surprisingly reflective. A film that stays with you, not just for the spectacle, but for the lesson it leaves behind. Easily a peak entry in its genre. The contrast between their personalities is portrayed brilliantly, and it's what gives the story so much depth. Daniel Brühl as Lauda delivers a performance that feels incredibly real. One of the most powerful moments comes when he reflects on Hunt after his death it hits with quiet intensity and says so much with so few words. The cinematography, the energy, the emotion everything comes together perfectly. The movie shows two polar opposites coexisting with each other to make racing not just more popular but also putting the best in each other despite dire consequences for both. Backed by an epic emotional score from Hans Zimmer, great acting from Daniel Bruhl and Chris Hemsworth, and masterful direction from Ron Howard. One of the best movie of the 2010s, 2013 and perhaps the best racing movie ever put out there. I know Ford v Ferrari was made after this movie, but that's the only racing movie I enjoyed, so I could not help the comparison. That movie took my emotions for a ride. This one was okay.
