The phrase "Hell is empty, the demons are all in earth" represents this movie. Its simbolic and chocking, but if you understand, there is a piece of art on here. Its neither shocking or has any purpose other than 'bragging rights' to say youve seen it. Essentially teenagers are kidnapped, humiliated, tortured, oh there is some sodomy plenty of nudity. in essence boring and made for shock purposes only. Though by no means perfect, Salò forces you to confront the extremes people are willing to reach when they know they’re about to die and all moral restraints collapse.
