It's like watching Life of Pi after a frontal lobotomy.
Fast, fun and cutely done, it tells the tale of two turtles who wind up stuck inside a Dubai aquarium and have to pool resources with their fish-mates to escape.
Only someone with the memory of a goldfish won't feel they have seen Sammy's tale before.
The script is flat, the storytelling is dull, and the animation is just sub-standard.
Kids' animation doesn't come more basic than this second undersea outing for Sammy the Turtle.
This Belgian adventure animation is a little forgettable and uninspiring thanks to its lack of enthusiasm and comic value, inconsistent pace and predictable storyline.
Sammy's Painfully Long Incarceration would be a better title for this sequel to 2010's A Turtle's Tale: Sammy's Adventures.
