Richard Linklater's School of Rock still remains one of Jack Black's very best performances. The director and actor work together well and manage to make a rockin' comedy that'll bring out the kid in every rock 'n' roll fan.

...a high-energy movie and a joyous one, too, with a soundtrack filled with great old tunes. (Blu-ray edition)

Richard Linklater and Jack Black talk a lot about the imperative to rock hard, but their commentary is more Milli Vanilli than Iggy Pop.

The film is a must-see for anybody who loves rock or anybody who's a teacher...if nothing else, rent the sucker before you buy if you have any doubts. It's worth it.
