This film breaks preconceptions and prejudices. Not of anything of societal importance. Just that false assumption that women are sexually harassed by unattractive guys who won't take 'no' for an answer, while handsome men never receive 'no'. Well, this may be the outlier that actually proves the rule. Great early 80s look. An enjoyable easy watch with no redeemable value. Fairchild was gorgeous and did very well but the story was too simple. I wanted it to be more of Horror Movie with more dead bodies. Tim Treakle See more Jeff M @jeffmarshallmovieblogger 01/21/2024 If I had a Mount Rushmore of Guilty Pleasure Movies, there's a strong possibility that Morgan Fairchild would be replacing Theodore Roosevelt. This is a textbook example of a bad motion picture being elevated to near-greatness by the sheer audacity of its awfulness - and it's absolutely irresistible. Yes, it's sleazy and politically incorrect. Yes, Fairchild's performance is the equivalent of one of those creepy mannequins without facial features at Target. But I would gladly watch this over any number of designated "good" films any day of the week. And there are actually legitimate attributes here as well. It's beautiful to look at - the production design is fantastic - particularly Fairchild's condo. And Stevens manages to create a truly creepy and memorable villain. I'm not sure you'll truly be able to appreciate the significance of this movie unless you're a child of the 80s who grew up with HBO. Forget the critics - just buckle up and enjoy the ride. See more 06/14/2020 THE SEDUCTION (1982) I am so happy they decided to restore this retro, schlocky gem that I might have never seen. It stars a fierce and gorgeous Morgan Fairchild as a tv news personality who finds herself stalked by a sexy, obsessive stalker played by a hunky Andrew Stevens. It's pretty by the numbers but it's a fun horroresque, erotic thriller that really delivers. Not to spoil anything but basically she just reaches the point where she refuses to be the victim and fights back. It's pretty damn satisfying.
