Incredibly worse than Shrek 2, the world expansion was useless, the new characters are unlikable, and prince charming could not be a main villain. This movie may be a good watch for kids but for teens and adults it will likely be way less than they expected.

Arguably not the same heart, charm, and wit that made the first two Shreks classics, but hey, it's SHREK, nonetheless. I loved it, but okay I am biased, huge fan. Anything Dreamworks is also A-Okay by me, they are simply magnificent. Great storytelling, very well and cleverly written and directed. Filled with charm, wit, humor, drama, mystery, magic, suspense, some fun, empathy, silliness, emotion and intrigue. The graphic presentation always blows me away, just stunning! Very entertaining and gripping

Rated: 6.3/10 ⭐️ You gotta watch them all for Shrek Day! I hoped for the magic of the first two, but it honestly felt like a step backwards to me. What Worked: • The Donkey and Puss body swap got some solid laughs from me. • The princesses weaponizing their fairytale tropes for a jailbreak was super clever. • The core cast’s chemistry still totally anchors the movie for me. The Friction: • The high school Artie storyline really dragged for me. The teen-angst vibe felt super out of place. • Prince Charming is just too whiny to be a main villain. It lacked real stakes. • The pacing felt off; juggling way too many side characters made the plot feel bloated to me. Verdict: Watch if you want to hang out with the swamp crew. Skip if you want sharp satire.
