After befriending talented dancer and pickpocket Libby (Vivien Leigh), street performer Charles (Charles Saggers) strikes up a partnership with the gifted young performer and invites Libby to join his act. It all seems hardly real.
... a lively street picture set in the intersection where struggling performers and hustlers meet high society and theater folk.
wonderful performances by laughton and leigh as struggling street performers. laughton is especially heartbreaking.

Fine drama with two acting greats bringing out the best in each other. Rex's part is small but Laughton and Leigh are dynamite.
