The continuing alterations and added details to the established extraterrestrial species result in something that barely resembles the 1995 film that started it all. Go to Full Review

Jens B @Jens97 6d Saving the worst for last—that seems to be what the creative minds behind *Species: The Awakening* thought. Produced for the Sci-Fi Channel in 2007 and directed by an Asylum regular, the fourth installment manages the feat of failing on every level. Unfortunately, it doesn't even manage to be enjoyably trashy; instead, it remains almost unbearably tedious. Despite the "Unrated Cut," one shouldn't expect much in the way of sex or violence. The film becomes marginally more bearable if you take a shot every time Ben Cross makes a moronic facial expression. See more Frans B @FransB Nov 2 Could have been so much more. Flimsy writing and vague directing. Cast doing their best with what they were given, so, credit to them. Overall not very convincing, sadly See more alan g @agenser 03/13/2025 Please stop this franchise. See more Ryan B @RT42749367 05/19/2024 it at least felt like it was trying? it tried to do something cool like the original and crashed hard, but it wasn’t as bad as the last two. still trash and super off the wall at some bits. See more Steve D @RT35616104 02/20/2023 How do they keep getting worse? See more justin t @RT08580778 02/17/2022 This is a bad movie. Like all of the sequels to the first movie. The effects were all computer generated except for the species suit that I have got bored of. They dragged out all of the scenes far more than they ever should have. I have nothing to write. There was no imagination in the film and so I have no imagination to write a review. Another painfully bad entry into the Species series that offers nothing new or good. My favourite bit was the flying nun. See more Read all reviews
