One of the "Original Kings of Comedy" shows off another side of his talents in this concert film. Actor and standup comic Steve Harvey became a star through his often frank performing style, but what some fans might not know is that Harvey is also a committed Christian, and in 2005 Harvey was invited to perform at MegaFest, a four-day event presented by renowned evangelist Bishop T.D. Jakes at his church The Potters' House in Atlanta, GA. For the occasion, Harvey performed a family-friendly show

Harvey's sly, observational humor is on view in Don't Trip . . . He Ain't Through With Me Yet.
It's not very Christian for Harvey to ask his fans to pay multiplex ticket prices for a shoddy film that is barely feature length.
Can Christian comedy be outrageous? Yes, as Steve Harvey shows in the best parts of Don't Trip ... He Ain't Through With Me Yet.
Don't Trip... amounts to a revival meeting with Harvey as both the pastor and the object of worship.
Faith-based entertainment at its best.
The contrast between the familiar image of Harvey as the brash, above-it-all funnyman we've come to love over the years and the suddenly vulnerable soul we now see up on the on screen is unusually endearing and, ultimately, winning.
Don't Trip...He Ain't Through With Me Yet! is the most decisive "Amen!" that the crafty and dapper Steve Harvey can get short of being baptized in the Nile River.
Harvey's first steps down this deliberately wholesome path are shaky.
I don't equate toothlessness with clean language, but Harvey seems to.
You may be left wondering, When the show is this short (78 minutes) and the comedy this sanitized (0 expletives), why not put it on TV instead of in theaters?
Steve had to tone it down for the Bible Thumpers in this one. Of course, his comedy isn't all that edgy to begin with.

Tremendous comedy and a commendable first for Steve Harvey to do a show in front of a packed house of Christians with NO cussin. You Go Boy! The Jesus intro gave me goosebumps- a must see.
