Beautiful boys and unfulfilled homoerotic desires, which have become a subgenre in recent French cinema, are nicely exemplified in Franck Guerin's feature debut.

Guérin is a very gifted director of actors and his work with newcomer Baptiste Bertin is astounding. The lingering close-ups of Bertin's face are like a road map to the complex inner turmoil of his character.
