I prefer this 1984 Supergirl movie to the newer 2026 Supergirl. Heather Slater did a fantastic job with some amazing flying scenes. It’s a shame Christopher Reeve wasn’t in the film as once talked about but his poster was in the film showed it was in the same universe.

I loved this movie. It kept me entertained the whole time. Milly Alcock was great. Jason Momoa was a great Lobo. I went through the whole range of emotions. It was a great introduction of who Kara is in this version of the DC Universe.

There wasn't much competition for superhero movies back then but this one is just boring by today's standards. They tried way too much to ground these superheroes back then with boring human villains. Supergirl actress was good tho!

Supergirl is campy, low budget sci fi, and directly poorly from a female gaze. Not as bad as I thought it would be. The cameos and references for superman movies before are interesting enough to give it at lease one watch. Faye as Selena has the best performance and nearly steals the movie as the main villain. Helen slater as Supergirl needed a much improved performance, it really didn’t age very well.
