This ambitious Disney movie uses a remarkable screenplay from Steven L. Bloom and Robert Rodat to tell a rollicking tale of America's transition from a close-to-the-land culture of mythic heroes to a corporate world of real estate tycoons. Underappreciated Disney mash-up of Old West myth.
A good Disney fantasy adventure for kids.
Proves that allies are always available to those who yearn to do the right thing.
A decent lie action movie with Pecos Bill, Paul Bunyan and others. I like those American Tall Tales.

I missed this film when it originally came out. I finally saw it on Cable and was pleasantly surprised by it. I liked it. Nick Stahl must have done this film right after the Man Without A Face. Stahl is great as the lead. Patrick Swayze also shines as Pecos Bill. Stephen Lang and Scott Glenn provide solid supporting
