High-school nerd Louise Miller (Robyn Lively) learns from psychic Madame Serena (Zelda Rubinstein) that she's possessed with magical abilities that will begin working on her 16th birthday. When the prophecy proves true, the teenager uses her new powers to get what she's always desired: popularity. After getting back at some bullies, the young witch casts a spell over hunky jock Brad Powell (Dan Gauthier). But Louise soon learns that getting what you want isn't all it's cracked up to be.

The message of the well-constructed but unsurprising script by Robin Menken and Vernon Zimmerman is practically lit in neon, and fails to adequately address the cruelty of the "haves" vs, "have-nots" caste system.

It was a fun movie for current adults and past teens but the storyline is a bit off. The plot is not clear and everything happens so fast. It was missing funny scenes but overall was alright in other qualities. It is definitely a one time watch and I would recommend it to people who enjoy cheesy romance.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom, com tudo isso, eu não recomendo esse filme.

Simply awful--it was awful in the late 80s--and its awful in 2026--just the sight and sound of the cheerleaders singing I like boys--is enough for you to grab the remote --Robyn Lively who is fairly talented,mustve been hard up to accept this movie--simply awful

I loved this movie when I was a teenager and my daughter loved it too when she was a teenager. Fun music for the time it sticks with you. Cute story and music with a little romance and magic in the mix why not ? The tomatoes got it all wrong.. give this movie a chance!!

This was pure eighties hell for me. It was that whole yuppie brat-pack nonsense from beginning to end. This was trying so hard to be cool but all it managed was childish tripe. Nostalgia fans will be able to relate to the happy fact that it is not the eighties anymore. The film was so ridiculous. Nothing really made sense and I just didn't care. It would have been better if she had turned into a wolf instead of a witch. There is little drama and that little drama is ill conceived. Dull direction and awful style. The little brother was horrible. The rap battle was torture. Bring back Sabrina, that is what I say! Top that. A painfully eighties teenaged movie that is so childish that it becomes boring and annoying.
