Solid drama with EGR memorable in the lead. The tragic Rose Stradner comes across well in one of her few films. The only misstep the film makes is the ridiculous moustache that Jimmy Stewart is forced to wear.

Excellent 1930?s gangster film, Edward G. Robinson is amazing as always, good supporting cast. Great pace and screenplay. Very enjoyable and notable for an early James Stewart performance.

Different take on the gangster genre - with lots of solid acting in spite of uninspired camera-work and editing. Always a joy to see Lionel Stander (wouldn't be a gangster flick without him) and John Carradine. Also watch for Louise Beavers, Horace McMahon, and Joan Blondell.

This is not a bad film by any means, it's only flaw being is it has not survived the aging process like some other films during that time have been able to do.
