See more Chanr3y k 04/15/2024 (Be aware I'm not talking about the American edit, but the original Japanese cut) I think it was a great idea to reboot the franchise, as the showa continuity had turned into a consistent, cartoony mess. This movie recaptures the seriousness of the original movie and gives us an idea of Japan's position in the cold war, while also having great human drama and Godzilla is terrifying once again.
