See more Jay W @RT52162311 12/01/2024 Despite what the title may imply, "They Call me Trinity" is not a Matrix spinoff following the adventures of Trinity learning that she is in a computer simulation. It is instead a comedic Spaghetti Western. It is remembered fondly by Spaghetti Western fans and began a trilogy of movies starring Terrence Hill and Bud Spencer as two gunslinging brothers. In this adventure, Trinity and his brother reluctantly help out a peaceful village that refuse to give up their land to a dirty rotten land baron. This movie is like if you took a basic western plot and setting and plopped two superheroes in the mix. One of them is super-fast with a gun, and the other is super good at fist fighting. You're not at the edge of your seat wondering whether these characters are going to make it out OK. Instead you're just watching them plow through waves of evil goons. And there is enjoyment to be had in simply watching bad guys face consequences and good guys get rewarded. There isn't much to it beyond that. See more Joel H @786Joel 01/30/2024 They Call Me Trinity is a pretty goofy western. This film doesn't take itself seriously and that's what makes it enjoyable. Terence Hill and Bud Spencer make for a strange pair of brothers, but they work well together. And they seem to be enjoying themselves as they bumble around and shoot & fight with everyone on the screen, including each other. I also had to chuckle at the film's portrayal of Mormons, which seem almost Amish in nature. I'd never heard of They Call Me Trinity before, but someone recommended I watch it, and now I'm feeling tempted to watch the other movies in the Trinity trilogy. See more Read all reviews
