After his beloved father (Brian Dennehy) dies, dim-witted Tommy Callahan (Chris Farley) inherits a near-bankrupt automobile parts factory in Sandusky, Ohio. His brand-new stepmother, Beverly (Bo Derek), wants to cash out and close, but Tommy's sentimental attachment to his father's employees spurs him to make one last-ditch effort to find someone who will buy their products. With his father's tightly wound assistant, Richard (David Spade), in tow, Tommy hits the road to scare up some new clients.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE COMEDY. SOOOOOOOOOOO FUNNY. I generally can't believe that RT gave it 40%. The fact that that is not 100% is wild. The critics who rated this have 0 IQ. I kinda hope they see this, because they have no sense of humor. what buffoons. If you don't say 5 stars, I will be break into your house. The last sound you will hear is a loud click-click.

Although the movie has a dry and empty plot, it’s too quotable and funny to not be a great comedy. Chris Farley steals the show and is hilarious despite David Spades also good performance. If in the mood for a laugh should check this one out

This movie did something rather remarkable. I’ve seen this movie many times. Yet I still laugh at the same gags I’ve seen 50 times. It’s crazy to me how much power this movie has over what I find funny. This movie is the pinnacle of comedy and cinema and always will be. No one can tell me otherwise.

It's absolutely baffling how out of touch and way too serious "professional" critics are. This is one of the funniest movies ever made, and scene after scene is filled with Farley being hilarious. Oh look, there's a cliff! Oh my God we're burning alive! Here comes the meat wagon!
