After being released from jail, Run heads to New York with his buddies DMC and Jam Master Jay, where they hope to get some gigs. However, once there, the trio find themselves mixed up in crime and murder. When Run-DMC's friend, roadie Runny Ray, is murdered, they try to figure out who the culprit is. They receive help in their search from Pam, the secretary of a crooked booking agent named Vic, and Charlotte, Vic's girlfriend.
