Incredible movie making and incredible entertainment. Can't believe RT giving it 53% which is NUTS. What were they looking for, a documentary??? "Troy" (2004) is a very well made movie. While it's not historically accurate, I always enjoyed this movie as pure popcorn entertainment. Re-watching it recently i rediscovered just how great this movie is in terms of visuals, pacing and storytelling. At running time 2 h 35 min (Theatrical version) and 3 h 05 min Director's Cut (which is a must see) this movie never drags and is a terrific entertainment from start till finish. Wonderful cast of great actors did a terrific job - they all are great in this one (just except for maybe Orlando). I always liked that there is no clear hero / villain in this one and you can root for both sides: Brad Pitt and Eric Bana were truly superb in their respective roles and especially Bana who is the star of this movie I think in terms of human hero. Set design was amazing and its feel of place and time is superbly made. The only flaw I think was a third act that it felt a bit draggy, but still there is a lot be loved there.
