Kim B @RT57950329 May 20 This movie came out just after Ghost. Both are romantic ghost stories, but this one is what someone called, The Thinking Man's Ghost". It's sad, funny, and has a happy-sad ending that leaves you satisfied. Alan Rickman is phenomenal, a huge talent that is greatly missed. I think it's my favorite of the two romantic ghost stories. But don't worry, guys, my husband enjoyed it too because it has a quirky, funny take on ghosts. And then cried again. The moment of self-sacrifice revealed at the end was almost too painful to bear. As was Alan Rickman's incantation of the poem, "The Dead Woman." And all the older men crooning over her and how beautiful she is... feels totally contrived. She is beautiful, her way, her being, but she looks odd and androgynous to the point of asexual.
