Effective in showing how evil was slavery, but still has a faulty paternalistic attitude to its subjects.

costing 1.8 million dollars to produce, this grand film used interesting special effects for its time, lush cinematography and had great performances. Some scenes had impressive amounts of extras and included interesting locations. At times, I forgot that I was swatching a silent film.
