Molly Gunn (Brittany Murphy) has never worked a day in her life and has lived like a queen since her father, a famous rock 'n' roll star, died and left her his fortune. But everything changes when Molly realizes that her manager has stolen her money. She lands a job as a nanny for Ray (Dakota Fanning), a young girl whose serious attitude is the opposite of Molly's carefree one. Though I found Mr. Yakin's direction unexpectedly imaginative, and the script often incongruously subtle, I couldn't get into the spirit of all the whimsy, the reason being the surprising lack of charm in the two leads.

. This move highlights life of a girl growing up to fast for her age and older women who barely processed her parents death constantly lives out her life stuck in that child mindset. I personally used to think there was something wrong with me enjoying this film but looking at it, it’s depressing how likely people still create conversations to look down on others instead of , stepping out and learning to understand the psychological toll of the characters. This film is beautiful. Watched it once when I was a little girl and again as an adult. Personally wasn’t like the main little girl. I struggled with learning disabilities growing up but the being on my own and a few more situations irl of course this movie will have a special place. I really hope that our society grows past these conversations and can actually comprehend complex personalitites like these without just using the word obnoxious or bi polar. Actually have an out of body experience.

Am I the only one who cried during this movie? I thought it was going to be one of those funny comedy movies but it really touched on some serious stuff. Definitely a good watch and should make you emotional...that is if you have a heart.
