In the wake of her mother's death in a mental institution, detective Rita Veder (Angela Bassett) is assigned to a baffling serial murder case. After examining the crime scene -- a corpse-filled ship found adrift at sea -- Rita meets Maximilian (Eddie Murphy), a smooth-talking Caribbean playboy determined to romance her. When Rita begins suffering from crippling hallucinations, she calls upon Dr. Zeko (Zakes Mokae), an occultist who suspects a vampire is on the loose.

‘Vampire in Brooklyn’ is Better Than You Remember. While there is humor, lovable actors, heavy doses of 90s nostalgia, and some blood and organs, there is also a ton of stuff to unpack beneath the surface. ‘Vampire in Brooklyn’ might not be anyone’s favorite Wes Craven film. However, it is a fun stop in the Uncle Wes library, and I think many people owe it a revisit.

Filme fraco pra caralho, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas e interessantes, a história é fraca, o elenco é mais ou menos, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom, e também o filme tenta ser engraçado, mas não consegue de forma alguma.

In all honesty, after seeing this for a long time, it's still as funny as it's written to be. Not one of Wes Craven's worst movies either since the horror aspect is a little generic but the humor was as good as most horror comedies be. The performance and chemistry were great, though. I highly recommend it if you're a big time fan of horror comedy movies, I'd say check this movie out. 6/10.
