It's this relentlessness of the action and technology that make the film more of a simulated ride. I wouldn't have boarded. Go to Full Review

The exteriors are fantastic, the castles mega-looming, and there's a beautiful -- if fanciful -- masqued ball which shows off to perfection the costumes contrived by Gabriella Pescucci. Go to Full Review

The text of Stoker and Shelley is treated as nothing more than toilet paper in the outhouse of writer-director Stephen Sommers’ imagination, soiled and shredded beyond all recognition. Go to Full Review

Between its spectacular production design, excellent makeup work, interesting visual effects and ambitious story, "Van Helsing" feels like an inflated, epic, varied and fast-paced adventure. [Full review in Spanish]. Go to Full Review

Muhammed U @RT91286855 4h Here's a simple review in your style, Big Dhem: I really enjoyed watching Van Helsing. The movie is packed with action, adventure, and some impressive monster battles. I liked how Van Helsing travels to stop Dracula while facing werewolves, vampires, and other creatures along the way. The visual effects were exciting for its time, and the story kept me interested from beginning to end. While some parts felt a little over-the-top, the movie was still fun and entertaining. If you enjoy fantasy, action, and classic monster stories, I would definitely recommend watching *Van Helsing*. I would rate it 8/10. See more Romas M @Romas 23h Greetings from Lithuania. "Van Helsing" (2004) was a mess when I first time saw it upon its release in 2004, and still is a mess after seeing it for the second (and definitely the last) time in 2026. I've rewatched it on 4K UHD hoping to enjoy it more, but boy that this flick hasn't aged well. The CGI were not great even in 2004, so imagine how they look now in 2026 - and this film went all in on CGI. There is nothing to write about performances of actors as there are no performances here - everyone if just shouting, running, creaming and steering into a green screen. This poor flick was clearly a Universals attempt to create a franchise using its monster universe in a wake of hot hit "The Mummy" (1999). Unfortunately Stephen Sommers couldn't make a fun and exciting adventure movie twice - "Van Helsing" is boring, overstuffed and overproduced typical CGI fest and mess. Overall, there is nothing to enjoy in "Van Helsing". This is a poor adventure flick that mostly plays as a bad movie See more Nathan J. @NathanDirector May 27 Rated: 5.8/10 ⭐️ Seeing if this monster mashup is as wild as everyone says for World Dracula Day. I wanted a fun hunt, but the non-stop, messy CGI honestly left me exhausted. What Worked: • Jackman brings a rugged, James Bond vibe I really appreciate. • Silvestri’s bombastic score is top-tier and gives an epic rhythm. • Roxburgh’s campy Dracula brings a fun aristocrat energy that totally works. The Friction: • I prefer grounded stories, so the constant rubbery CGI pulled me out of the stakes. • Juggling too many legendary monsters made it feel super bloated to me. • The romance felt forced. I honestly just didn’t feel any chemistry. Verdict: Watch for a mindless action flick. Skip if you hate 2000s CGI overload. See more Ethan A @Ethan99 May 22 It was my favourite film when I was 05 yesrs old. Now I'm 27 years old still It's my favourite film. I've Watched lot of movies but Didn't get like this. I feel like this movie is a classic something that could go on and on kind of like spider man or underworld, there potential here. With new tech new upgrades hopefully all the cast member are still around I think a part 2 is what we need there’s a lot of creature rumplestilskin forgot how to spell it but you get the point there’s potential here.
