Taking a breather from his usual horror and science-fiction endeavors, producer/director/writer Dan Curtis reminisces about his childhood in When Every Day Was the Fourth of July. Set in Bridgeport, Connecticut in the 1930s, the film concentrates on attorney Dean Jones and his 9-year-old daughter Katy Kurtzman.
