Sexuality & Censorship in Early Cinema also features Douglas Fairbanks, Rudolph Valentino, Clara Bow, Marlene Dietrich and Barbra Stanwyck in its exploration of the battle between artist and censor, uncovering details of some of the scandals that led to the morality crackdown known as the notorious Production Code of 1935. A celebration of the pioneers who helped film flourish, Why Be Good? is required viewing for anyone who loves movies.
