A cynic could wield a lash against "Wild Horse, Wild Ride," but the golden vistas, galloping horses and gracious humans tame us. Go to Full Review

Frustrations abound with this limited film, but Wild Horse, Wild Ride does one thing exceptionally well, and that is convey the emotional bond between trainer and horse. Go to Full Review

With its gorgeous big-sky vistas, stirring shots of the majestic mustangs and intimate bits between trainers and trainees, "Wild Horse" proves a warm and memorable ride. Go to Full Review

With a little more narrative structure there is certainly a compelling subject here. But there is no sense of urgency, no immediacy to keep it going. Go to Full Review

05/30/2015 Not entirely sure why the story took so long to be released. It covers a 2009 wild mustang competition and isn't released until 2012. I never knew about this competition before and am still a little confused about how these people say the horses go to better homes after being broken, but they never explain why the horses were ever endanger in the wild. It was interesting though and some of the people they cover for the contest were pretty insane. See more 03/28/2015 I enjoyed this one and the look at what's being done to help these magnificent animals See more 12/30/2013 totally super movie for horselovers See more 12/03/2013 Beautiful. Natural horsemanship. Be gentle honest and fair and you will be kind in starting any horse. Versus forcefully breaking a horse. See more 07/31/2013 If you think this movie is of interest only to horse lovers, well I think you slept through a lot of it. Certainly every horse lover would enjoy it but if you think about the incredible job that the director did in selecting the 9 trainers profiled and each unique personality and how they change and grow and share their feelings, then you'd realize this is every bit as much about the potential of the human spirit as it is about the equine spirit. See more 03/18/2013 I have had the privilege to meet and work with a number of Mustang Makeover trainers, including Jesus "Chewy" Jauregui who is one of the 8 featured in this film. It is uplifting to learn that the days of "breaking" horses with force and domination are now relegated to the past. Learning from watching a true buckaroo, a Vaquero at work earning the trust and confidence of a wild Mustang is like watching a magician revealing the secrets of their craft. Wild Horse, Wild Ride is all about pulling back the curtain to share that knowledge with viewers. See more Read all reviews
